WHERE IT BEGAN

OUR MISSION

Team Nox was initiated by a group of friends who simply wanted to do robotics together. Founded on the belief that innovation not only develops but thrives in an inclusive environment, we strive to create a supportive space for students who are new to FIRST or who have felt undervalued, underrepresented, or unempowered within their communities.

Our mission is to build a safe, student-led, and welcoming community where every student has the opportunity to explore STEM, grow their skills, and develop a genuine sense of belonging.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to create a lasting impact on the STEM community that offers each student an equal opportunity to explore their ambition in robotics, gain confidence in their abilities, and excel as not only engineers and leaders, but as role models for the next generation of innovators.

Team Nox operates on three key principles: Ignite, Innovate, and Inspire, striving to become a shining star within the New York City STEM community. Through mentorship, outreach, and accessible FIRST programs, we aim to inspire future generations of innovators who continue to learn, compete, lead, and give back.

OUR TIMELINE

May 2026

IDEA

A spark in a group chat came together to explore robotics and turn ideas into reality.

June 2026

ESTABLISHED

Team Nox became established as a nonprofit, allowing us to expand our program.

July 2026

FOUNDATION

Team Nox began organizing its leadership, mentors, funding, outreach plans, and resources for its first season.

August 2026

COMMUNITY

Team Nox began recruiting students across New York City, expanding its online presence, and preparing for the upcoming season.

FIRST Tech Challenge
September 2026

LAUNCH

Team Nox launched its FTC program, expanding opportunities to learn, build, and compete.
